"'Are you okay, Queen Kate?' Megan, the eldest of the sisters asked, as she gently offered Kate a small twig to climb upon. 'Would you like me to take you home?' Exhausted and downhearted, Queen Kate climbed wearily onto the twig. 'Yes please,' she replied, feeling grateful for Megan's kind gesture."

Megan arrives and the whole painting softens. A gentle hand, a small twig, an act of quiet kindness. This is my favourite moment in the whole story — the moment someone simply asks, "Are you okay?"

An original painting from the children’s book The Most Magnificent Pot of Gold. The works are currently on exhibition across three Queensland galleries — Grasslands Gallery in Tambo, Bushmans Artisan Gallery in Blackall, and New Creation Gallery in St George — running from 17 April to October 2026, and are available for purchase online and in the galleries. All paintings will be delivered upon the close of the exhibition in October.
