When the friends reached the hive, they found Megan's father extracting honey from Queen Kate's colony into a small jar — a gift for Megan's school teacher. Megan carefully laid the twig near the hive and Queen Kate thanked her for the lift home. 'Thank you, Queen Kate, for this Most Magnificent Pot of Gold! I know my teacher, Mrs O'Donnell will enjoy your honey just as our family always does!' she exclaimed excitedly."

An original painting from the children’s book The Most Magnificent Pot of Gold. The works are currently on exhibition across three Queensland galleries — Grasslands Gallery in Tambo, Bushmans Artisan Gallery in Blackall, and New Creation Gallery in St George — running from 17 April to October 2026, and are available for purchase online and in the galleries. All paintings will be delivered upon the close of the exhibition in October.
