"The following day, as the midday summer sun glistened on the little bee's transparent wings, Queen Kate gazed around the garden and began to sing: 'Red and ochre and pink and cream, Violet and indigo too, I can see a rainbow, see a rainbow, See a rainbow too!' As she sang, tears of joy flowed down her little bee cheeks. She suddenly realised that the beautiful rainbow, in the garden she shared, led to: her colony, her hive, her home, and her honey — the Most Magnificent Pot of Gold!"
Kate in tears of joy, singing at last. She has found it — not at the end of a rainbow, but right where she has always been. This was the painting I saved until last. I wanted every happy brushstroke to belong to this moment. An original painting from the children’s book The Most Magnificent Pot of Gold. The works are currently on exhibition across three Queensland galleries — Grasslands Gallery in Tambo, Bushmans Artisan Gallery in Blackall, and New Creation Gallery in St George — running from 17 April to October 2026, and are available for purchase online and in the galleries. All paintings will be delivered upon the close of the exhibition in October.
