The Commission Process
Commission a piece of artwork in my unique style. Whether you are looking for a representation of your children, a holiday, fond memories, a pet or something you have seen on my website, I would love to talk it through with you.
The price of an Art Commission is driven by size, composition, detail and the time required to bring your vision to life. As a guide, smaller works start from $500 and larger pieces can range up to $4,000 — I'm always happy to chat through pricing once we've discussed your idea.
The process begins with an initial discussion.
The things you may like to consider are: The dimensions of your artwork, the colours you would like to emphasise and finally the subject of the composition. Once the composition has been decided upon a quote and brief will be supplied to ensure both parties are happy with what has been discussed.
If you are happy to proceed a 25% deposit will be required before the commencement of the painting. This will confirm your understanding of the art commission process and my commitment to completing your artwork in a timely manner.
On completion of the painting I welcome a visit to my studio to view your artwork. Alternatively a digital image can be emailed to you. At this stage I provide an opportunity for you to make any small changes to the painting.
All paintings are created using the highest quality Atelier/Matisse acrylic paint and archival quality canvas stretched on hoop pine frames. All canvases are custom made. You have the choice of either 4cm or 8cm edges. An 8cm edge is ideal if you choose to continue the painting around the edges.
