I'm an Adelaide-based illustrator with 25 years of painting experience and six children's books to my name. I work in watercolour, acrylic, ink and mixed media — a painterly, expressive style with a warm, whimsical touch. I'm known for characters full of personality, Australian animals and landscapes, and the quiet emotional moments that make a picture book last.

About my Illustration Style
My work is joyful, warm and distinctly Australian. I paint entirely by hand — every illustration is created in traditional media before being scanned and prepared for print. I love working with animals that have real character, children in all their glorious messiness, and stories with heart. I work in acrylic, watercolour, gouache, collage and pencil, and each project has a handmade quality you simply can't replicate digitally.

Investment
Every project is quoted individually based on scope, timeline and complexity. As a general guide, a full picture book illustration project starts from $5000 AUD depending on the number of spreads and level of detail. Get in touch and I'll put together a tailored proposal for your project.
How it works
Get in touch — Tell me about your story, your vision and your timeline via the email link below. I'd love to hear all about it.
Initial sketches — Once we've had a chat and agreed on the project, I'll develop initial sketches for you to review. We'll work collaboratively until you're happy with the direction.
Final artwork — With sketches approved, I'll create the finished illustrations — beautiful, print-ready artwork for your publisher. I'm happy to work directly with both first-time authors and experienced publishers.
Delivery — A full project typically takes 5–6 months from start to finish, depending on scope. I'll keep you updated throughout so there are no surprises.
